I founded Leader-Labs because great leadership, of self or others, is intentional (and sometimes disorienting) work and we're here to create a safe space for people and teams to experiment, discover and grow. Change can be hard. Shedding ineffective behaviors and habits is done best when replacing them with better-serving ones. In the lab, it’s okay to get it wrong before you get it right, you'll grow and learn with each iteration as you find your own authentic and powerful style of showing up.

Each partnership is built around the unique goals we charter together, and grounded in brain-based methodologies of goal achievement. Basically, a fancy way of saying that by understanding how our brains are designed to work, we'll get you in the driver's seat and back at the wheel.
Where we're headed, however, that's up to you!
about me
Kathleen King
Founder and Principal
For over a decade, I have held senior roles in the executive and leadership development space within global organizations, owning the responsibility for leadership-development strategy, facilitation, consulting, and coaching. I have worked with leaders across the beauty, healthcare, marketing, hospitality, fashion, legal and beverage industries.

An advocate for lifelong learning, I hold a BS in Managerial Economics, an MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology, and I am a PCC-level credentialed coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF). Coaching specific certifications are in brain-based coaching through the Neuroleadership Institute, Marshall Goldsmith’s Executive Coaching, Brown University's Team Coaching, Talent Smart’s Emotional Intelligence Coaching, and the Positive Intelligence Mental Fitness Coach program. Additionally, I hold licensing to facilitate and administer many of today’s top leadership workshops and psychometric assessments.
When I'm not facilitating workshops and participating in coaching partnerships, I can be found in my yard gardening, on the lake kayaking, on my Harley exploring or out for a hike with my foster dogs.
